The Birthday Festivities Continue!

After about 5 1/2 hours alone with his bone and the carpet, Asher got his next birthday surprise.

First, he listened to phone messages from his Aunt Sharon and his Mama. Then, he got his special birthday treat!

Being the Sabra that he is, the carob topping was a reminder of home!

He ate his entire cupcake (after letting Grandma peel off the paper for him - so hard to do without opposable thumbs!).


It was good to the last crumb.

Then he decided to demolish the Petco carton that came the other day, so he got some time out on the zip line to appreciate the unusually warm day, while Grandma got a few minutes of respite. After the zip line, Asher and Grandma went with friends Margie and Bandit to hike in Saxon Woods in White Plains. Asher got to go swimming (in stagnant water first,then in a running stream) and to run over leaves and logs and rocks - it was great exercise for both of us! A long phone call with Mama on the speaker in the car made Asher's first birthday complete!
