Back to the Beach!

Today Asher and I went back to Playland Beach. We were there alone, and it was rather gray (eventually it started to drizzle.) Clearly it is more fun when there are other dogs there. More importantly, there was too much tide this time, and Asher repeated his behavior from the Pacific Ocean, steering clear of the water as it came in. He did venture out onto the wet sand a bit, but he was definitely nervous about the water coming at him and making noise. So after running on the beach (briefly with another dog and its owner), we took a walk on the boardwalk - out onto the pier. I never even knew there was a pier at Playland. Anyway, there were what I guess are pilings - logs that are attached to one another, standing on end in the water, coming up out of the water. And they made Asher *very* nervous. He barked at them each time we were near them and ran away from them. I have no idea why, though I am guessing that he was able to smell something that I could not. That was today's adventure!
