Too Cold for the Camera

Asher and I have actually had a good day - we hung in the living room until around 1:20, when I decided to put him into his room for a while and went down to the family room to watch tv and knit. Anyway, around 3 I opened the garage door to get the mail and, ostensibly to shovel (that didn't happen), and he wasn't even at the window. I opened the door to his room, did our regular routine (I sit in the chair and tell him to come up and we cuddle a bit), and finally went outside. There's a few inches of icy snow out there...and it confused him mightily. He dug at it a bit, and finally peed in the pachysandra. We went to the side lawn where he pooped and then, I let go of the leash. Oh my...he was like a jack rabbit leaping through the snow! And when I would call "Asher...come!" he would charge at me and past me, and then come back around. We both knew he would come back and he loved the romp. One of those times that I'm sorry I don't have a fenced in yard. I could have put him on the zip line but it is freezing and windy and I don't want to be out there. So he is happily ensconced with a frozen marrow bone. This day worked out quite well so far - and it is 3:45 so he goes to sleep in about 90 minutes!
