Asher and Passover Part I
We could have done our own "why is this night different" last night. We decided that Asher would not go to the kennel for the Seder, and that Rena would be vigilant about him. He was unbelievably good (or as someone else said, he acted like any other dog!) He greeted everyone well, only sniffed at the 5 month old whose parents are still uncomfortable around dogs and let the 2 1/2 year old chase him around the house and hug him. During dinner (after he had his own matzah ball and soup and some brisket and salmon) he slunk under the table and stayed there, dozing.
We found out, the hard way, in the past week that raised angry voices freak Asher out, and make him hide. Perhaps, the constant louder voices (albeit happy ones) made him cautious?
He was one terrific dog last night!
