Asher Had a Playdate!

It has been a while since the unpredictable pup has had a playdate, but since Auntie Sharon was taking care of Ranger for the weekend, a visit to Hoboken for a playdate sounded good!

The puppies greeted each out on the street and promptly sniffed one another. We walked to the dog park where Ranger immediately knew what to do - he ran and played with another dog. Until Asher was acclimated, Grandpa kept him on a leash - but just for a minute or two and then Asher was running and playing with Ranger and some other dogs. After a while, the puppies were willing to leave, and Auntie Sharon proposed a walk to the beach! Asher has seen a beach in California, and a beach at Rye Playland, and even a beach at Candlewood Lake - but this beach was on the Hudson River! The puppies went tearing down the sand and ran on the beach and into the (slightly toxic) water and climbed on the rocks and wrestled over a stick. After a stop at a restaurant to pick up human food, we all went back to Ranger's house where the puppies hung out while the people ate. We then walked Ranger and Auntie Sharon back to Auntie Sharon's house, and Asher helped with the drive home. And then Asher climbed onto his favorite chair in the living room and fell fast asleep.
